Relief for one hundred flood-affected families in Dodamwala, Kandy.

A humanitarian aid campaign of donating bags containing essential items to 100 families was successfully conducted on December 8th 2025 for the flood-affected people in Dodamwala, Kandy District in the Central Province, under the leadership of the Damlakara Dharmavijaya Society of the Sri Subhadhrarama Buddhist Center. The blessings and guidance for this social service were given by the Patron of the Damlakara Dharmavijaya Society of the Sri Subhadrarama Buddhist Center, Most Venerable Dambarawa Dhammalankara Anunayake Thero, Patron of the Udarata Amarapura Maha Nikaya. The project was conducted under the guidance of Venerable Kalukele Shantha Thero, the Honorable President of the Damlakara Dharmavijaya Society. For this, a financial contribution of Rs. 100,000.00 was provided by the Dharmavijaya Foundation and an additional amount of Rs. 50,000.00 was provided by the temple’s donors. The members of the Dharmavijaya Society enthusiastically supported this charitable work. Photos of the distribution of donations are shown below.
