Community Eye Clinic Project -2025

A community eye care project was organized by the Dharmavijaya Foundation and several organizations associated with the Community Eye Clinic Project, involving 25 schools in the Palagala Educational Zone, Anuradhapura and the Sri Gnanodaya Dharmavijaya Society at the Devahuwa Dharma Niketanarama Viharaya, Anuradhapura. Eye examinations were conducted in several stages by Ophthalmologist Dr. Nalin Gunasinghe, the Hon. Vice President and Trustee of the Dharmavijaya Foundation, and his team of optical technologists. A total of 661 students from 25 schools selected for primary eye examinations were fully examined. It was reported that students suffering from visual impairment and blindness were identified and treated and 214 of them were given free eyeglasses on 22nd August 2025.
